Jon Kerns of Aston, Pennsylvania, is the winner of the Grassroots Motorsports magazine Facebook 30,000-Like contest. The January social media promotion was created to boost Facebook likes for the magazine’s new digital media site. Kerns was the 30,000th Like posted to the site and won a free 10-year subscription to the magazine and the gratitude of a hardworking Grassroots Motorsports social media team.

When Jon isn’t busy liking the Grassroots Motorsports Facebook page, he works for a movie studio handling the vehicles we only have time to dream about for some of Hollywood’s biggest budget films (“Transformers 4,” “Captain America 2,” “Amazing Spiderman 2,” “Dark Knight Rises”).

“Originally, years ago, I had picked up an issue [of Grassroots Motorsports] on the turnpike travelling cross-country for a gig,” said Kerns. “I was hooked at how in depth it was and how it cut the usual flashy BS most mags sucker you in with. [Grassroots Motorsports] is all hardcore track enthusiasts and real tech on wrenching. Track cars are machines first, and Grassroots [Motorsports] not only brings me in deeper to the engineering, but also what’s current in the track scene. I know I’ll always have an issue or two shoved in all of my luggage or on set for between cuts. I couldn’t be more stoked about winning this 10-year subscription.”

The fact that he won is kinda interesting, but his day job is WAY interesting! Thanks for the killer pictures, when does the full story come out. (Oh, and How is Optimus Prime doing and does he want to come to my birthday party?)

Yeah, we need to get Optimus to the Rolex or the Mitty. Maybe the Mitty is better since there's more space.

By the way, today we got our 31,500th fan. Thanks for the support, everyone.
