The 99th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will take place on June 27 of this year, and the most exciting part may be that, unlike the previous year’s running, the 2021 event will be open to spectators.

Tickets go on sale starting February 1 and include passes for race day, practice days and even overnight camping.

February 1 will also “reveal the list of over 65 elite competitors” signed up to partake in this year’s iconic hillclimb.

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome spectators back to America’s Mountain in June,” stated Megan Leatham, Executive Director, “and our competitors will be thrilled to have the best motorsport fans in the world cheering them on.”

A limited number of tickets for practice days and for the race may be purchased online February 1. Overnight camping passes are also available. Camping areas include 9 Mile, which is reserved for tent campers only, as well as Halfway Picnic Grounds, Ski Area and Glen Cove.

Long-time race fans Doug and Lucy Williams want to be among the first to purchase race tickets and a camping pass for their favorite area, “We just love the race,” Doug shared, “and the chance to camp on Pikes Peak at Halfway Picnic Grounds, watch the action, and cheer on the drivers is one of the highlights of summertime in Colorado.”

On Monday, February 1, an announcement is slated to reveal the list of over 65 elite competitors invited to challenge the mountain in this year’s event.

The latest version of the Official PPIHC App is also available for free download now and will keep fans apprised of the latest race news.

Pikes Peak has been on my list since a long time ago. Even thought it is full paved now I would still love to run there at least once.

Good. I think I'm going to do start line this year. I tried to sneak up to Devils playground last year on a "Hike" but they stopped me.

I wondered about doing that.  Hiking from the Crags parking area to Devil's Playground is on my bucket list of hikes, but you really need to be aware of the weather.  Not surprised they do not allow that during the race.

I've done the Ascent 3 times. It's a fun hike up Crags as well.
