All but one of the brand-new GTP cars finished January’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, but will that same success carry through to the rough, unforgiving race surface of Sebring International Raceway?

There’s only one way to find out, as those GTP cars and 46 of the fastest race cars around take on the challenge of this weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 18.

Tampered tire pressure data aside, Sebring’s starting lineup is looking similar to that of the Rolex 24, with Acura and Cadillac setting the pace following Thursday’s practice sessions.

Down in GTD and GTD Pro, there didn’t appear to be significant front runners, though some of the quickest laps in the classes went to GTD’s No. 77 Porsche 99 GT3R and GTD Pro’s No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3.

As for the LMP classes, PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports and Era Motorsport are hoping to improve on their Daytona performances in LMP2, with Jr III Racing noted to be a favorite in LMP3 despite missing the Rolex 24.

The biggest question of the race, though? What color do you think the couch that will get lit on fire at turn 7 will be this year?

At any rate, the green flag is scheduled to drop at 10:10 a.m. on March 18, with the full grid of 54 cars racing into the night until the checked flag waves at 10:10 p.m.
