Watching Tom compete in this Honda Fit may or may not have influenced me to get my first Honda Fit.

This Honda Fit has been around the block–or, rather, the race track–quite a few times.
Back in 2015, this Honda Fit competed in the Pirelli World Challenge (now the GT World Challenge America) in the TCB class with a then-up-and-coming driver who crowdfunded his way to the track: Tom O’Gorman.
After its time in TCB, the Fit, better known as “KlapTrap,” raced in Gridlife’s GLTC series, this time with a more powerful K24 engine under the hood.
The current owner, Daniel Dennehy, acquired the car in May and has since been racing KlapTrap primarily in SCCA road racing and time trials, plus the occasional hillclimb and GLTC race.
But will all that proven race history give a leg up on the competition at the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge, our annual search for the fastest track machine on four wheels?
We’ll find out when KlapTrap takes to the track at Pitt Race, September 18-21. Just like last year, the UTCC will be held alongside the SCCA Time Trials Nationals.
Also the same from previous years? The only requirement to compete is that both car and driver pass a safety inspection. So if you can do that, enter your car today.
The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Grassroots Motorsports and fueled by Sunoco, in association with Wilwood, Vitour Tire, CRC Industries, XS Power, AMT Motorsport, Vbox Motorsport and Red Line Oil, with trophies from CalltoGrid, BimmerWorld, Falken Tire, Miller Electric, Vorshlag and Hoosier Tire.

You know, your Fit could become a race car. I've had two street cars become race cars. Just saying
