Recognize this unappreciated classic? It’s a 1961 Dodge Lancer, basic transportation for the times.
Underneath, though, GRM forum member Oldstinky has placed the entire chassis–running gear, suspension and everything–from a 1997 Toyota Avalon.
Since finishing the project–and putting some 10,000 miles on it–the only mechanical issue has been a bad front wheel bearing.
