Our augmented 2004 Corvette Z06 already had some power, but we were ready to hit the “more” button. 

When last we threw our Corvette on the dyno, it was putting more than 380 horsepower to the wheels thanks to a set of long-tube headers, an Advanced Fuel Dynamics E85 kit and a Breathless Racing cold-air intake. 

We hadn’t reached the bleeding edge of bolt-on performance capabilities, but we’d done enough research to know how close we were. And while we probably could have topped 400 horsepower with a lot of additional effort without ever venturing inside the engine, we were definitely on the steep part of the diminishing returns curve…
