Not all low-buck racers are subject to a hard life of running at the limit on the cheap at the track–some go on to run at the limit on the cheap in the dunes, too.
After competing in our annual $2000 Challenge, this E46-chassis BMW 325xi Kart changed hands into the care of forum user pimpm3, who plans to turn the kart into a four-seat dune buggy.
Here’s how pimpm3 summarizes the scope of the project:
“I plan to modify the cage to seat four safely, install factory springs for a slight lift, put a set of 28 inch all terrain tires on it, add a set of wrangler bumpers, possibly a winch, and add a truck box behind the rear seat for storage.”
