Broken Plastic Trim? Here’s How to Fix It

For the most part, when those plastic trim pieces break, it's not too hard to source a replacement. But what if it's a part that's no longer produced, hard to find, or maybe you'd just rather fix it yourself?

We found ourselves in that very boat with a broken A-pillar cover on our Volkswagen Rabbit GTI project car. Since parts for cars like the Rabbit are becoming increasingly scarce, we decided to fix it ourselves. As you can see, it's not particularly difficult.

See how we repaired a plastic trim piece on our GTI over on Classic Motorsports.
