Lime is one of our favorite restaurants around Daytona International Speedway.

Coming to the Rolex 24? Want to hang out with us this Friday over dinner? Join us at Lime Fresh Mexican Grill across from the track. Anyone is welcome who can afford a taco. Look for us and our friends from Mazda at the back of the restaurant. We’ll be arriving around 6 p.m.

I think I am going to take you up on the offer! Also for another night, if anyone is interested, just down from the track there is an Asian buffet style restaurant called the Hibachi Grill. We always eat there one night when we are in Daytona. All you can eat for $9.95 (or was that last year at) and you can work up a powerful hunger watching race cars all day! Of course I am not affiliated with HG in anyway just think it's a good deal.

By the way, that Hibachi Grill is also the insane hookup for takeout. They give you as many styrofoam clamshells as you want, and you can do takeout of whatever you want to scoop in them for like $5 a pound. That's insanely cheap for cooked, ready to eat food. I've been known to load a clamshell of two before road trips and keep them in the cooler. And I pretty much always stay at Country Inns, which always have a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. A little piece of home on the road...
