What if there was a motorsports competition that was less about rules, and much more about finding out who has the fastest track machine on four wheels?
That event already exists, and it’s called The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports.
Pretty much every type of car is welcome, from professionally built race cars to home-built track machines–and just about everything else in between. All that’s required is that car and driver pass a safety inspection. (Yeah, that’s really it.)
For 2023, the UTCC is joining the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty, October 12-15 at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Think you have the ultimate track car? Come prove it, registration is open.
Want to see who you’ll be up against? Just check out the accepted cars page on the UTCC website and stay tuned to the GRM website where, every Friday, we’ll be featuring some of the latest and greatest entries accepted–just look for #FastFriday.
So far, we’ve seen a 950-horsepower Dodge Challenger, a purpose-built Elan NP01 with Cadillac power and a nimble, tunable E30 BMW.
