We’re getting excited for SCCA’s new Track Night in America program driven by Tire Rack. It aims to introduce more people to track driving by offering track days after work on week days and creating more of a relaxed “hang out” type atmosphere. It looks like a good step forward for our sport. Want to learn more about it? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Next week’s Grassroots Motorsports podcast episode will feature Heyward Wagner, the man behind this program, and Lisa Noble, president of SCCA. We’ll be discussing this new program. Want to listen in? You can subscribe to our podcast right here.

The Grassroots Motorsports crew will also be at the upcoming Track Night in America at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida, on Thursday, April 9. Come hang out with us and experience this new program for the first time. Click here to register for that event.

Not sure how to get started? Want to know more about track days—and nights—before taking the plunge? The June issue of Grassroots Motorsports contains extra content aimed at first-time track day participants. It even includes coaching help from noted driving instructor E. Paul Dickinson. That issue also contains tips for first-time track day participants, including equipment shopping help.

We also have an extra helping of track day editorial planned for the rest of the season, including another tire test.
