And Greg Creamer is calling the action.
So, my story about Greg. Several years back, I was invited to co-host a race with him at the St. Pete Grand Prix. "Co-host" meant that he'd do most of the talking, but I was there to interject if needed.
His "studio" was this crappy, warped card table near the side of the track. We might have had a pop-up canopy. His race monitor was down--failed connection--so he tracked the action via the jumbotron located across the track. He also had a ton of handwritten notes.
Holy cow, you never would have known. He was so smooth, so professional, never missed a beat. A total A+ pro.
Hey, GRM sticker on the FE winner! Congratulations, Scott Rettich.
Coming up at 11:25 Eastern (like in 9 minutes), Spec Miata. Buckle up.
72 cars in Spec Miata....

One of our locals Jeff Shafer picked up Silver; he's a fantastic driver.
Great lesson on how battling for position can let the leader run away.

Spec Pinata doesn't seem to be nearly the slug fest it has in past years. The earlier classes had a lot more yellow/red flags.

Really good race; post race interview really enlightening.
Also kudos for being well behaved.
The Spec Miata race was impressively clean. I think it was green for the whole race.
The T4 race, however, was embarrassing. 2 full course yellows caused by just plain poor driving. The other two races fell somewhere in between, both with at least one FCY. The FE2 race certainly had an unexpected ending, though.
Vee's are about to start. From what I've seen/heard, this track doesn't have nearly the drafting opportunities that Road America does. Wonder how that will affect the Vees.

Back for afternoon races.
one of the vehicle performance development engineers at one of my suppliers just took 3rd in FV. I took a late lunch so i could watch the race. that was cool.
Great racing so far! I have a ticket for Sunday - anyone know if they'll run rain or shine?

My cousins teammate got bounced out of 5th in the P1 race.
I was at home and watched the morning races then headed to Family Weekend at the daughters University.
Headed towards Indianapolis and just north of town I saw three race cars.
Not sure why but I thought it was funny to see a spec Miata on an open trailer heading north on I65 but it cracked me up. Didn't I just see you......

Formula Ford is on now, great battle for 2-4.
Waiting for P2 to come on; my cousin starts 8th, hoping he can pick up some spots in the rain.

If you didn't watch the F500 race you missed it. There was a total ding ding battle for the top spot. Clean hard racing the way it should be.

An awesome race, great show of sportsmanship at the end but a real shame that it finished under yellow.

Took time to watch it last night and was impressed with the cars and the drivers.
