Tacos & Talent Kicks off Tire Rack Solo Nationals

Welcome to Tacos and Talent, our annual kickoff party for the Tire Rack SCCA Solo Nationals. Once again, last night’s get-together was presented by BFGoodrich Tires and the Lincoln Visitor’s Bureau. The evening is part family reunion, part talent show–and with plenty of food and drink provided.

The overall winner of the talent show–and the recipient of a new set of BFGoodrich Tires? Shelly Monfort, the world’s newest stand-up comic.

“While several other acts were solid from beginning to end, we rewarded Shelly for overcoming an apathetic comedy audience–not an easy charge for an experienced comic–and turning them to her side and shredding their vocal chords with laughter at the end,” said J.G. Pasterjak, our emcee for the evening. “It was a very satisfying arc, made even more satisfying by the fact it was her first ever set on stage.”

Were’t able to make join us last night in Lincoln, Nebraska? Missed the live broadcast? Through the magic of internet television, you can watch it again right here.
