It sounded like such a good idea at the time: Hey, let's turn this partially prepared Lincoln Mark VII oval-track car into an endurance racer. What could possibly go wrong?

Well, plenty.

But we had fun, learned some stuff, and built a head-turning car in the process. And, best of all, the scars have healed.

A recent thread about these cars on our forum got us thinking about our old project. And thanks to the fact that the internet is forever, you can read the updates right here.

Wanna watch rather than read? We made videos featuring that car, too.

Well, it certainly may have looked a little odd, but at least it made some cool V8 noises.
