What’s more desirable than a clean, stock and (relatively) low-mileage NA Miata? How about a clean, stock and (relatively) low-mileage 1997 M Edition?

Only 3000 examples were made, each one finished in Marina Green over a tan interior and featuring unique equipment including a Nardi wooden shift knob, polished Enkei wheels and a limited-slip differential.

Per the listing, the Miata shows 42,971 miles and is said to be “super clean” with “no mechanical issues.”

Find this 1997 Mazda Miata M-Edition listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace for $12,900.

Wow, that seems like a nice, buyer-friendly price if the car is as good as advertised.

I had one of these as my first Miata that I bought back in 2009 for $5k with something like 75k miles if I recall correctly. Was nowhere as nice looking as that one but it was still in decent shape. Did my first ever track day with in Sonoma in the rain and a few others afterwards. Good times...

There's nothing really special about an M edition - almost all of them are just fully optioned Miatas with a paint color that was not available on other Miatas that year.

But a clean NA is always welcome!

Say, I've got that car's twin...of course, mine has 270K miles, and is "well loved", but still.

Nothing special...except a paint color you couldn't get any other way. laugh

And that green is *nice*.

Gut feel says it's a bit expensive, but OTOH finding clean ones like this is not easy these days.

In reply to Appleseed :

I guess I'm not that invested in paint colors :) I find mechanical differences much more interesting.
