The third-generation Mazda MX-5 is getting less and less expensive. This 2006 car with a $2000 asking price needs some engine work and a new top. For some enthusiasts, that’s just an invitation to install an upgraded heart. What would you do? 2.5-liter update? V8 swap?

Dang. 2G?

A 2.5 sounds fun.

Twin-turbo 4-rotor power is clearly the only option, a la Mad Mike Whiddett's RADBUL

Always wondered how difficult it would be to stick a Mazdaspeed 3 engine into a Miata.

Obviously a lot of repackaging of the turbo etc. to deal with going from transverse to in line.  Has oneyone done it?  Having near 300 bhp and all Mazda would be nice....but probably might cost more than an LS swap.
