The first generation Mazda Miata is starting to make the turn into collector car status. Old Spec Miata racers are even being allowed in vintage racing fields now. This means that low-mileage pristine examples will probably soon start appreciating in value even more than they already have.

Today our forum members have spotted such a car for sale in Cleveland, Ohio. This 1992 Mazda Miata has only 19,000 miles on the clock and the interior is described as “nearly perfect.” The asking price is $6000, which seems very reasonable based on other asking prices and the outlook for a car like this.

Looking forward to seeing it in greater detail on BaT in two weeks or so.

I’m not sure how valuable the tape decks are but I have two. Nice car!

I appreciate a nice car as much as anyone, but man... talk about a missed opportunity for a LOT of fun over the years!

Then again, keeping the miles off a car that was as hot a seller as those early Miatas were, might not have been the worst of ideas.
