Looking at the specs, it’s easy to see why the Nissan Silvia Spec R proved to be so popular with racers and drifters alike: Rear-wheel-drive, turbocharged SR20 engine, six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

Currently showing a verified 116,000 miles, this Silvia–unlike most–is noted to be “bone stock” according to the seller.

Recent work included installing a new valve cover gasket and half-moon seals as well as replacing the front caster arms and performing an alignment.

Find this 1999 S15 Nissan Silvia Spec R listed for sale on Japanese Classics for $35,995.

Not that it's cheap, but for what it is that seems fairly reasonable!

In my opinion, one of the most attractive cars out there.

A current GR86/BRZ costs similarly, and likely handles better. Not worth it unless you're into collecting JDM goodness.

I always thought the late S14 cars were the best looking of the 240's:

There's a, "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good" element.

I did as well until I saw an S15 IRL. Maybe it was just the stance of that particular or something, but it just looked stunning.

I so badly want one of these.

If you want to talk about "worth it", an GR86/BRZ will depreciate instantly the moment you take it off the lot and will continue to slide down until after ten or twelve years it will be worth a Big Mac and a case of Mountain Dew.  The Silvia will not do this, as it's already hit the bottom of its curve and is on the upswing.

They always have great cars there. I love stopping by whenever I can. You do need to put down a 30% deposit to test drive a car though lol

Now that I looked at the 2nd page, that's actually less than what I've seen being asked for a couple of S14s. Which is bonkers.

Might be worth it. They’ve had a few cars that have kept me up at night.
