Where some people would add a hardtop to their NA-chassis Miata, Forum user cafcwest would rather go without a roof entirely.
After acquiring a rough 1990 Mazda Miata that at least ran and drove, cafcwest removed what little was left of the windshield.
The plan for this project? It looks like cafcwest is attempting to build a speedster-type car out of an NA-chassic Miata, almost like the one Mazda built out of a NC-chassis Miata.

Looks like any number of DP miata out there except without a real cage in it.
The lines of a roofless NA are so beautiful. Perhaps an NB too but I'm not cutting mine!!! :-)
I have real racecars though, this is just for messing around in the garage and driving on the street in fair weather.

I'm actually shopping for another Miata now to build a dedicated rallycross car. Since I am already 'invested in the ecosystem' of the NA6 cars, that is my preference.
I'll come back soon hopefully with pics of all three together. High Miata, low Miata, and decapitated Miata - the perfect trio! :-D
