Generations in the Garage

Update by Per Schroeder to the LeGrand Mk 18 project car
Apr 7, 2009

Pete steadies the engine as it's pulled out of the LeGrand.
Per reinforces the lower control arm mount.

Pete Schroeder and this author, son Per Schroeder, made progress on the LeGrand project car over the weekend.

First, the Kawasaki KZ engine came out of the car. We then finished welding in the new differential mounts. We took the time to clean up and reinforce the rear structure. The rear framework will get a fresh coat of paint before we reassemble things.

Looks good. Want to see it at a event.

Welding without even gloves? You are braver (or something) than me....... :-)

I kept taking the gloves on an off to do various bits of work. I wind up with more burns on my biceps...above the glove area...more than anywhere else.
