Magazine project cars are fun to do, and people seem to enjoy reading them. However, sometimes they can be frustrating. The Civic falls into that category at the moment.
I haven’t “officially” said anything about it on the project car page, because I first wanted to make sure I had all my ducks in a row. I think they’re now in a row, and the verdict says our springs aren’t correct for our application. (I got to do some cool spring rate calculations using something called “math.”)
That’s why I like working with guys like Jay (Ground Control) and Lee (Koni). As I told Lee, if he said I should replace my springs with cupcakes, I would do so. His reply e-mail only said, “mmmm….cupcakes.”
