So…we lied a little bit about the KYB installation on the Subaru…we actually didn’t receive the rear shocks until Friday and they had to wait until today to be installed. It’s pretty easy to understand why the car kind felt wonky on the highway drive down to Homestead, the right rear shock was leaking and had no pressure, while the left was leaking and had only a residual amount. With the KYBs on, the car really does feel like a new(er) Subaru. We adjusted both the fronts and the rears to 2 (out of 4 on the front, out of 8 on the rear)

Also, we noticed that after Saturday’s autocross, the steering wheel wasn’t exactly straight. It appears as though the LF camber bolt slipped a little. We adjusted it and cranked it down this afternoon. If these keep slipping, we’ll go back to the factory bolts and live with the reduced camber.

We also received our Kumho R700 rally tires today. Unfortunately, since we missed having them on at the Rallycross by just a day, we’ll have to wait until October to try them out for real.

Next up: Transmission swappage.
