Update by Tom Suddard to the Mazda Miata project car
Sep 19, 2017

Think you’ve got what it takes to best our often broken but never forgotten turbocharged Mazda Miata? Prove it! We’re headed to Sebring International Raceway this weekend for “The Sebring 14,” a race hosted by the ChumpCar World Series Presented by RVA Graphics & Wraps—yes, the photo above was taken at Barber Motorsports Park, not Sebring. Our goal? Have fun, don’t crash, and keep the car in one piece. Will our junkyard turbo setup survive 14 hours of grueling Florida heat? We’re certainly going to find out.

Watch the pages of Grassroots Motorsports for the full project car series. Subscriptions start at just $10.

Turn the boost down. Will be interesting to follow the race on race monitor.

Sebring is a pretty epic track. The walls and the history and all of it. Have fun.

No flattened Miatas this year, please.  You guys scared me last year.
