Very cool. Well done, Jeff.
The Rotary Miata is officially sold! Thanks to everyone who helped spread the word for the car and the cause. The winning bid was $11,000. But the good news doesn’t stop there. The winning bidder, IMSA driver Jeff Mosing, said that he would like to donate an extra $4000 on top since he was planning to stop his bidding at around $15,000. We’re proud to be surrounded by such a generous community! Remember, all proceeds go directly to Carly’s college fund.
So what will happen to the car now? Mosing says you may see it very soon at a hillclimb on the East Coast. He’s a Mazda and a rotary fan, and plans to use the car the way Mike intended.
Don’t have the scratch to buy a rotary Miata, but want to donate a couple dollars to Carly’s college fund? You can donate right here.

Recently, in another thread, I mentioned there were a lot of good people in this world. I'd say you found another one.

That's just the premix and unburnt hydrocarbons burning.
Wait, I have the same issue and I'm not near a rotary right now...
Thank you to the winning bidder and to also adding the extra! This is a person with good character - a rare find today.
Thank you to the entire GRM/CM team that did all the hard work as you are also a rare find today.
What a blessing you have all been to this young lady and her family.
Yes, thanks to everyone who was part of this and thanks to Tom, Ed, Steve, Wes at Treasure Coast, Keith, Bill and Mike at Flyin Miata and everyone else who pitched in.
