Update by Per Schroeder to the BMW 325it project car
Jul 25, 2012

And our 2004 wagon is leaving the building. The wagon’s unique suspension configuration of Koni FSD shock absorbers and Ground Control coilovers worked very well and we’ve had zero complaints.

It’s been replaced by a 2011 328i with 57000 miles. It’s in exceptional shape and if you didn’t look at the odometer, you’d think it was brand-spankin’ new. The kicker is that the new car was very affordable. Look for updates on that car soon.

I am thinking about getting a BMW X3 (manual transmission) (sort of a Wagon) you should consider that as your next project.

Not sure about the link, but the basics were spelled out. Essentially, as stated, FSDs with a GC conversion kit. Simple, effective and showed how that car really needed more power.

Yea--it was low, but didn't have any issues as a result of that. The next owner still has the car, although I believe he's gone back to a traditional "sport" spring set-up.

Per, your projects were always my favorite!

How many miles did you put on the 2011 328i? How did you like it?

We put about 20k on it before we moved it along up here in Ohio. No issues--just decided to get something else...and something else...and something else....
