Just heard that the ERAU Motorsports and the other teams from Florida are meeting up for early competition loading today so that they can all get spots in paddock next to each other. Talk about collaboration!

Collegiate competition checklist: Toothbrush? Check. Shampoo? Check. Student-designed and-built Formula SAE Car? Check.
The destination? Michigan international Speedway.
For the past year, we’ve covered how Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Formula SAE team, ERAU Motorsports, has designed, built and tested ER-09, their all-new competition vehicle for 2025.
Now it’s finally time for the team to head up to Michigan International Speedway for the 2025 Formula SAE Michigan competition and see the fruits of their labor.
The team, consisting of 30 selected students, spent this past Saturday night and early Sunday morning packing, conducting checks and enjoying the end of their semester before the grueling drive from Daytona Beach, Florida, to Brooklyn, Michigan–that’s 16 hours, excluding stops.
When did they leave? Sunday morning.
When did they arrive? Monday evening.
Now the team has one full day before the start of competition tomorrow. The plan? Final tweaks and safety checks.
Want to keep up with how the team does? Don’t worry–I’ll be there covering all the action.
