Jumped into this car in August of 2009 with 24k on the clock. I was flushed up with cash and wanted to make it better, so the first round of mods included a Quaife LSD, springs, shocks and stabilizer bars. I knew I wanted linear rate springs and had just come out of a Protege5. Knowing Racing Beat had done the suspension tuning for the Protege MP3, their springs with cut bump stops seemed the way to go. I got a good deal on used Hotchkis bars and hooked it all up to Koni yellows. That setup was not confidence-inspiring and led to further revisions.

As of 2012 suspension is FM springs on Koni yellow with Racing Beat bars. It works.
