I’ve spent way too much money on this car, and it’s so far from being done. Everything that can wear has either been replaced with new parts or rebuilt. CIS was ditched and Megasquirt (ms1 v2.2) was added. Yep. Lots of other fun things and low key fab work here and there. Looks are needing help, but I enjoy driving the car, not worrying about rock chips. I have this silly 14:1 CR 2 liter 8v sitting in my garage begging for me to put it in, but having to run 110 for a daily driver isn’t going to be cost effective :p I’ll try to get better pictures soon.

I always loved those little boxes. My dad had like 3 of them, my grandma had one, my uncle smashed it... I had one when I was 17, turned out to be my welding class project. "caged and seam welded" Had a 2.0 16V bottom, 1.8 16V head, 2 double mikkuni carbs with a G ladder from a Corrado blowing in it. I paid the whole car + mods just betting against Stang and Camaro guys LOL.
Love it. Your story (and maybe your paint) remind me very much of my own toy from the 80's.
