1984 Volvo 245 5.0 V8

22

Just a run of the mill V8 Volvo. Bought this in 2010 for $3000. It looks nicer than it is since you cant see the rust in the photos. It settles my want for a V8 and is much cheaper than a CTS-V or GTO. It was swapped in 1996 @ 136,000 miles by http://www.converse-engineering.com/ . Originally it had a stock 5.0 and an auto. Purchased in 1999 by Phillip Pan who made it into the monster it is today. He started the V8 section on brickboard.com and poured a lot of love and money into the car. He gave me the reciepts from the original swap and about $6k in the recent motor and trans build from 2001. It is just a basic 302 with aluminum heads, cobra intake, a mild cam and exhaust. It has IPD sways and Bilsteins but stock spring hence the body roll. Also added were Corbeau seats an LSD and poly bushings in the rear. It now has about 30k on the motor, 250,000 or so on the body and pulls like a freight train. The only real plans are to hopefully patch some of the rust, get some stiffer springs and ad a hitch. Oh and tires. Already roasted my first set. Stock it was rated at 3500 so I figure with a light weight trailer I should be able to tow around my RX-7’s.
