2000 Toyota Celica GT

I am the original owner of this car. At the time of purchase, I did not have the funds to get into a GTS, so I settled for the GT. It’s a 5-speed manual with 88k miles (as of 6/7/2010), original clutch, suspension, and brakes (1st set of replacement pads). The only modification is to the air box, where the butterfly valve on the air box inlet was removed. Other than that, It’s bone stock. Modifications on the radar are a wheel and tire upgrade (going to 16x7 all around with 205/50R16), Suspension upgrade (KYB front and rear either GR-2 or AGX, with an H&R Sport Spring Set), Brake upgrae (front slotted with performance street pads…keeping the rear drums for now until I can find a donor/junker GTS to harvest the rear disc assembly), building a custom CAI utilizing the fog light portals (will ditch or relocate the fog lights - just don’t care for the aftermarket CAI units or the installation location). For the engine, I’m looking at stage 2 cams, new valves & springs, and higher volume injectors. Then the ECU… My aim is to make the care more fun on the track, but still a usable daily driver. Just have to get my better half to sign off! ;-)

Regrettably, we traded my wonderful little Celica in on a new car for my wife. If we had the extra money, we would have traded the 06 Forester instead of the 00 Celica. It just made more sense to keep the Forester.. 40k less miles and more utility for me. I will be looking for a project car though... Possibly and early Miata or Impreza to turn into a nice little track-day/fun car for me....
