Now that the battery tray is solid and rust-free I was able to reinstall the battery, with the factory hold-down this time! I also was able to permanently wire the starter solenoid ground wire, get rid of the extra chassis ground I had going to the radiator support, and generally clean up the wiring around the battery and starter circuit. With all that done and in I was able to reinstall the freshly sanded and painted fender support bar. Now everything is clean, matches the factory wiring diagrams, and functions. Nice.
