Rusted bucket held together with wood screws that we stripped, cleaned, repainted and rebuilt as a dedicated track car. The initial project build took approximately 9 months after which we debuted the car at Lime Rock Park in October of 2007. I stumbled upon your thread in the motorsports secton of the vortex while looking for ideas/info for the $2011 Challenge Jetta. This build is pretty inspiring with a lot of clever engineering - like the shifter, bumper mounting, paint booth, etc. GL with the continued build and great job!
