Mazda Miata rally special

Built from a bare shell for the Targa Newfoundland rally. The engine is bored and stroked and runs 11.5:1 compression. The suspension was built for as much travel as possible and the car was stripped for light weight. It’s now 2100 lbs wet with a full cage and hardtop. The paint is a Martini design. The whole car was built in my garage. You can see the whole build on the car’s website. The Miata has a long and successful competition history. It’s responsible for the rebirth of the sports car. It’s been around for 19 years now. Is it a classic?
