1977 Chevrolet Nova Twin Turbo

2 door 77’ Nova. Funny story about this car… My first car was a 1979 Nova, a 4-door model. My grandmother on my mom’s side gave me the car when I was 16. Straight-6 250 and auto trans. Affectionately known as ‘The Blue Hooptie’. I drove the wheels off the car, learned a lot in the process keeping it healthy, and then when it finally died, sold the body off for $75. Years later, after starting DIYAutoTune, I wanted a small block Chevy test car. I shopped around a little bit, looked at a couple, then found this one on Craigslist. I called the seller who lived in Buford, GA and asked a few questions, and decided I wanted to go look at it. Asked him for the address, and he said “5647 Pineda…” and I cut him off with ‘Bull Crap!’, and proceeded to finish the address for him. That’s the house my grandma, that same grandma that game me the first Nova 20 years ago… this was the house she owned and lived in when she died. I lived in the basement back then too. I now had to buy this car ;). It hasn’t moved in a little while now as I’m mid project and just got busy. It’s currently in the process of getting two turbos installed on the 350 small block. I’ll then blow that stock block to pieces, and then build a stronger motor. Probably just street drive this car, it’s fun to cruise around in. Makes me feel like I’m 16 again. It’s not especially pretty, but I think I get more looks, nods, and thumbs up driving this car than anything else I drive.
