Picked up this beauty from a retired provincial police officer. Is it too corny to call it “The Sheriff”?

Wow! Time flies and a lot has changed in the last 3 years! I've moved from Ottawa to Michigan and Michigan to Windsor all while working for Ford. Dad kept the E30 for his first full season of auto-x and then dropped it off in Windsor last fall. Now the fun begins!

I spent this entire weekend outside working on the car. I had previously completed what I like to call my "stage 1 weight reduction" by removing the carpet and rear seats and this weekend I kicked off stage 2. After a bunch of grinding and drilling, the sunroof "cassette" was removed from the car. The plan is to use the sunroof panel to make a mould for a composite plug. Should be interesting! I also took the seats out again to wire wheel the interior and respray it. Between the new unpainted patches and the existing petina, there's a lot to clean up!
