A buddy gave this to me after it sat outside for 4 years. I thought the only way to repay his kindness was to build it into something that would make him incredibly jealous. With that in mind, I bought a supermotard conversion off E-bay, a new battery, and started fixing the old girl up. My buddy had the forethought to run it completley out of fuel, so the resuscitation was pretty painless. A supermotard front disc for the Yamaha YZ ??? forks, a bracket to hook up the stock Honda caliper, an old headlite bucket I had lying around, and some LED’s , and it was ready to go. Future plans include a powdercoated frame, lots of cosmetic stuff, and MORE POWER. But for now, it is just nice to ride.

Even though I have no bike license, that thing looks like a crap ton of fun to ride around on..

I'm lousy with the taking of pictures for the hive's enjoyment, especially considering the hours of vicarious enjoyment this forum brings me. So, here's a teaser-with the promise of pics in the future. I pulled the engine, put a hot cams stage 1 can in, had the frame powder coated, got a Staintune exhaust, new tank, and various and sundry upgrades. Also, a scottoiler, a deep cleaning of, and new head gasket to replace the weeping old one. Oh yeah, also a nice, big flat slide Mikuni. Pics once its all back together.
