1998 Ford Mustang Cobra

Updates: I’ve been running in NASA Time Trials for the last couple years with my Cobra-finishing the year in 3rd in TTB in the Mid-Atlanbtic Region. There’s been a few more mods on the car to comply with class rules. Here’s some of what I’ve done to it: Chassis: Brooks Performance Stage IV Suspension including: KB sub frame connectors and Extreme Matrix system, MM panhard rod, ‘95 Cobra R springs, Bilstein shocks/struts, KB lower control arms, urethane bushings, 3.90 gearing, Brembo calipers and rotors, brake cooling ducts, Steeda bumpsteer kit, X-2 ball joints, Custom front cross-brace with KB G-Load brace, Steeda adjustable rear sway bar, Cobra R 17x9 wheels w/BFG R1 slicks. Engine: Cold air intake, Canton roadrace oil pan, Magnaflow catted X-pipe, SLP Loudmouth 1 catback, Odyssey battery. Interior: Autopower rollbar, Hunsaker seats, 6 pt G-Force harness, MGW shifter, oil pressure/oil temp/water temp gauges. I use my ‘98 Cobra for cruises and track events. Its a very well balanced car.

You sure have invested lots of time in modifying your Cobra. How does she run on the road course? I mean with all of the mods have you picked up 2 seconds 5, 10?

The modifications have come in spurts over many years. So for each improvement there would be a subtle gain. But during that time the greatest improvements came from increased seat time. Driver mod FTW.
