This is one of those cars that was just too cool/odd to pass up. With a 195ci 4-cyl, 3-spd rear-mounted transaxle and 4-wheel independent suspension, what’s not to love? Well, OK it is a bit of a project, but it runs & drives decent, and it’s unbelievable how little rust it has for a midwestern car that was a daily-driver for years. I’m working toward setting it up for autox now. Not that I expect it to be competitive at all - I’m not even sure where it will be classed, since it isn’t listed in the Solo-2 manual, but I’m planning for FSP. Eventually though(in 10+ years when the kids are grown)I’d like to build it up to road-race specs & someday do events like Targa Newfoundland, and La Carrera Panamerica. Here it is for now though, a work-in-progress.
