After waiting in excitement for what may have felt like forever, the Nissan Z Proto is finally here. What better way to celebrate the unveiling of the next-generation prototype than with a look back at the last time Nissan teased a 240Z-inspired concept car: 1999's 240Z Concept.

A quick internet search says that power came from a KA24DE out of a 240SX and, if you look hard enough, you just might be able to see a little bit of the 350Z in it.

Video: Is This the Narrowest Road Ever Used in a Rally Stage?

Rally stages are known for their use of challenging roads and tricky corners, but have you seen anything quite like this part of the 2018 Rally del Rubinetto?

The space between those buildings looks to be just barely wide enough to fit a car, and we're sure the corners of those walls were at least a few different colors at the end of the stage.

Video: Learning To Drive Faster With Racers360

Our budget Volkswagen Fox race car may not have been the fastest thing at the ChampCar Endurance race at Daytona, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth learning how to drive it faster.

In order to learn how to do that, we worked with Racers360 coach and Daytona and Sebring winner Dion von Moltke to figure out how to formulate a plan to best tackle our home track, Daytona International Speedway.

Video: Remember That Porsche Boxster-Based, Open-Wheel Race Car? Now It Runs

Remember forum user Tamaren's project that turned a Porsche Boxster into an open-wheel, Formula 1-style race car? When we last left off a few months ago, Tamaren had the chassis mocked-up and the brakes in place. But now, the project runs and drives—it even makes some cool noises, too.

It doesn't have a body just yet, but that just makes it more fun to watch the mechanicals at work. The best part, though, is watching it run a few shakedown runs at a local track.

Video: Understanding Thread Tapping and How to Keep Those Threads From Going Awry

Master designer, fabricator and former co-host of "Mythbusters" Adam Savage has been working and improving his craft for decades.

Who better, then, to give us an in-depth look at the intricate process of thread tapping—what it is and how it works—as well as how to make a handy guide block so all that hard work getting that thread perfect doesn't go screwy (we'll see ourselves out).

Video: Have You Ever Seen the Abuse the Suspension on a Trophy Truck Takes?

What's one of the fastest ways to get from Point A to Point B when improved roads aren't an option? Try a Trophy Truck. These specialized off-road machines are often fitted with massive V8s capable of pushing out over 900 horsepower and rocketing over the worst driving conditions imaginable at highway speeds.

It shouldn't be much of a surprise just how sturdy a Trophy Truck suspension needs to be, but here's a visual aid just in case.

Video: Are These the Most Unusual Formula 1 Circuits Ever Used?

The circuits used in Formula 1 can be just as interesting and unique as the cars and drivers that race on them. However, a few stand out as being a little too weird—or just downright unpopular with fans, teams and drivers.

What do you think is the most unusual circuit used in the history of Formula 1?

If a car is stored inside, does it still need a cover? Sure, it may have a roof over its head and it may be kept out of the elements, but there are a few reasons why you still might want to cover a car that is stored inside. Presented by CRC Industries.

Video: Have You Ever Watched a Tractor Pull Before?

Don't get us wrong, we enjoy good old drag racing as much as the next person, but we have to admit that pulling a giant, heavy sled when you do it seems to add another level of excitement to the equation.

To get a better idea of the sport, competitors are tasked with pulling a sled down a track that normally measures about 330 feet. Each class of vehicles gets a set weight, and the winner is the competitor who pulls the sled the farthest.

Of course, that's not all. As it's pulled, the sled mechanically transfers its mass from the rear to the front, which increases the amount of friction the sled has with the ground. That means the farther the sled is pulled, the harder it is to move.
