It seems like only a month ago that we were celebrating 30,000 Facebook likes, but the next 10,000 came upon us quickly. Now we’re celebrating our 40,000th like on our Facebook page by giving Pat Wilmot a Mazdaspeed fleece jacket. It’ll hopefully keep him warm at races at the beginning and end of the season.

Pat is a long-time racer, the winner of three ProCup Karting Championships, four American Sedan class SCCA Nationals trophies, and Group 3 at the 2013 Mitty Challenge.

I started racing indoor karts when I was 16, and by age 19 I was racing my 1984 Mustang in the American Sedan class at SCCA Nationals,” Pat says. “In 2010, I was one of six drivers chosen for the Mustang Challenge Driver Shootout at Miller Motorsports park. In 2012 I was hired by Skip Barber and became an instructor with them as well as starting private coaching company, Wilmot Racing. I plan on continuing my search for funding to race in the TUSCC Continental Tire Series, compete in The Mitty for the 2nd year in a row, and keep developing and inspiring drivers to reach their full potential.”

Congratulations, Pat. We also give a hearty thanks to everyone else who follows us on Facebook.
