How goes the effort? Looks pretty impressive from here. Need anything ?
This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we’ll be up in Asheville, North Carolina to finish building a radical project: A turbocharged, Mazda 13B rotary-powered Mazda Miata. Mike Smith, better known as “Curmudgeon” on our online forum, passed away unexpectedly in the middle of building his dream Miata. He also left behind an only daughter, Carly, who plans attend Clemson University. Our goal is to turn his dream into a reality, and auction off the car to fund Carly’s education.
Though we made great progress during our last trip to Mike’s Shop We need your help to finish the project.
Do you have any spare time this weekend, do you live near Asheville, and are you even vaguely competent at working on cars? Email Tom Suddard for the exact location of the build. We’d love to have your help, and we’ll even feed you for your efforts.
Too far to drive or too busy of a schedule? You can still help put Carly through college. The family is accepting donations at this website.
We’d like to thank those of you who have already donated your time and money, as well as the following companies that have all donated parts to Carly’s cause:
Bilstein
Hard Dog Fabrication
Treasure Coast Miata
Turn 14 Distribution
