Not getting enough competition on the weekends? Aching to race in pajamas? We’ve got the fix for both of those situations.

The next season of the Ray eSports Unofficial SCCA Racing League kicks off March 1 at virtual Road Atlanta featuring three SCCA road racing classes on the iRacing platform.

Sim racers can compete in the RE2 formula class presented by Alliance Autosport, the Spec Racer Ford class presented by Spec Racer Sports, or (our personal favorite) the MX-5 Cup class presented by Grassroots Motorsports. Two classes will run each week on Tuesday evenings, so each class gets a couple of weeks off during the season. All races will be broadcast live on Apex Racing TV with the voice of the SCCA Super Tours, Gregg Ginsberg, leading the commentary team.

To register, find the Ray eSports Unofficial SCCA Racing League in the iRacing league listings. If you’d like some cool GRM liveries for your MX-5 Cup racer, check out our buddy Scott Lear’s page on Trading Paints. Or if you’d just like some GRM logos to design your own livery, here’s a Dropbox folder with some resources.

You may even see some GRM staffers on the virtual grid.

Thanks! I think I'm going to actually run SRF so I can watch some of those MX5 races and join Greg in the booth once in a while if he wants a guest. Looking forward to it, though. Haven't been doing enough fake racing since I got all my real cars running :)
