Ever wanted to drive Lime Rock Park from the comfort of your own vehicle?
Doing so is now easier than ever with the newly launched Track Tapas Day, which allows one to two groups of 10 to drive both the track's autocross circuit and the full road course. Participants use their own vehicles and receive individual coaching on driving both circuits. Cost is $175 per person.
Sessions are 2 hours long and are held twice a day: from 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m.
Walter Irvine, vice president of sales and fulfillment for Lime Rock Park, explains that the goal of the program is to "take new guests at Lime Rock and make them into driving enthusiasts."

For the safety of guests and staff, the track is only open to registered driving event participants who have passed a non-contact temperature screening and who follow safety guidelines that include social distancing and the use of face coverings.

LAKEVILLE, Conn. (June 12, 2020)—Lime Rock Park has launched Track Tapas Day, a safe and fun educational experience that allows participants the opportunity to drive both Lime Rock’s Autocross and the track's iconic 1.5-mile road course.
Sessions run two hours long and are held in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Each session allows for one or two groups of 10. Participants use their own vehicles while a trained driving instructor provides individual coaching and feedback on a variety of driving concepts and techniques executed on each of Lime Rock’s paved, dedicated tracks.
"The Track Tapas Day program provides a sampling of the types of driving experiences offered at Lime Rock," said Walter Irvine, Lime Rock Park Vice President of Sales and Fulfillment. “Participants will get the opportunity to drive Lime Rock’s different circuits, including the historic road course, and at the same time leave the experience with a new found understanding of driving and skill set. Ultimately, the goal is to take new guests at Lime Rock and make them into driving enthusiasts.”

Lime Rock Park is currently closed to the general public; however, individuals registered for a driving event are welcome. Participants must pass a non-contact temperature screening upon entry and follow Lime Rock Park's Operating Procedures at all times, including the use of face coverings and practicing social distancing.

I just called them and left a message. I am wondering if helmets are required. I assume so but did not see it on there site.
This is reasonably priced too. Hmm...

I have raced on the big track back in the day. But that is going on 15 -20 years ago. It was before the change up at the top of the track. I t would be a fun way to get on the track and not push things to hard. Kind of get my feet wet again if you know what I mean. Besides it is a good excuse to get a new helmet
I really am curious as to how my CLS 550 would be on track. If it would be a wallowing pig or if it would be a good dance partner.

Never got a call back that I know of after leaving them a message. I will have to follow up on this when I get back from traveling.
