A tentative schedule for the Tire Rack One Lap of America presented by Grassroots Motorsports has been announced and, as usual, it’s a haul. The event will again begin and end at Tire Rack’s headquarters in South Bend, Indiana. During the week in between, the event will hit several states that aren’t near Indiana, including fine locales in Colorado, Texas and Louisiana. Keep an eye on onelapofamerica.com for details as they unfold.
May 4: Registration, tech, drivers meeting, South Bend, Indiana
May 5: Tire Rack wet skidpad, South Bend, Indiana, and one more yet-to-be-named track
May 6: Gateway Motorsports Park, Madison, Illinois
May 7: Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, Jennings, Oklahoma
May 8: High Plains Raceway, Deer Trail, Colorado
May 9: Motorsport Ranch, Cresson, Texas
May 10: NOLA Motorsports Park, Avondale, Louisiana
May 11: NCM Motorsports Park, Bowling Green, Kentucky
May 12: Tire Rack dry skidpad, South Bend, Indiana
yes, brutal... though, NOLA-NCM doesn't look like a cakewalk either.
also, it being at that end of the schedule... I think we're going to see a number of "so-so" cars crop up with mechanicals.
one other thing I don't understand: why JG doesn't already have the 'vette signed up for this!?
