Watch Us Turn This Tired Bugeye Racer Into a Cool Street Machine

For the most part, we often find ourselves turning street cars into race cars, not the other way around.

But for one 1960 Austin-Healey Sprite—whose SCCA and vintage racing days had ended a few decades ago—we decided the best course of action was to turn the ex-racer into a street car. The goal, then, isn't a concours-level show car, but a fun-to-drive street machine.

Sure, it's an old-school British roadster, but we still cover some project basics that can apply to any project–like how to properly disassemble a car an how to keep all those parts organized once they come off.

Being an H-Production guy I will officially register my DIS-approval. Return it to it's racing days.

I cant help but smile when I see one of these cars. It reminds me of my dog when he sees me pull up in the driveway after being gone all day.
