Before this tube frame racer was a Cutlass, it was a Camaro.

Originally built wearing Camaro bodywork for Paul DePirro to race in Trans-Am in the mid-1980s, says the seller, the car would go on to secure a championship finish with the Central Division SCCA in 1988 with Ray Irwin behind the wheel.

Shortly after, the car received its Oldsmobile body and would go on to compete in the 12 Hours of Sebring and the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1990 and 1991, respectively.

Power comes from a 358 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8 engine that’s backed by a 4-speed Jericho transmission.

If I were to ever build a tube framed street car/hot rod /Warren Johnson thing, that's the body I would want.

The only ones that still exist seem to be the convertibles, though

I would do whatever it took to make that street legal.

I could make that street legal here with lights, wipers, and a horn. Heck, You can get a vin if you use the motor out of a vehicle that you have the title.

We just have more potholes than florida.
