Just a little more wiring and we'll be all done.
The original Lincoln headlights were gone before we got our hands on the car, so we had to improvise some bracketry.
We made the supports super-strong with a bit of scrap metal.
This year’s ChumpCar race at Daytona International Speedway is a one-day, 14-hour affair with plenty of driving time in the dark. Our previous lighting situation wasn’t quite adequate, so we got some Mustang headlights the last time we were at the junkyard.
When we got back to the shop, we started welding up some brackets from whatever scrap metal we could find. We’re not quite done with the wiring and we still have to clear up that sun-baked yellowing, but we’re confident this will work better than just the cheap lights we had before.
