Dyno testing our Fiesta

A dynamometer is a great tool to test different modifications.

Our first change was a K&N replacement for the stock panel filter.

Next, we added Ford Racing's cat-back exhaust to the car.

Installation was easy, though we did snap one factory exhaust stud off.

Our last change of the day was Steeda's cold air intake.

The factory mass air flow sensor bolts into the new intake tube.

Then, the heat shield is bolted onto the bottom half of the stock air box.

At the end of the day, we'd gained 7 horsepower and 6 ft-lbs. of torque.

B-Spec allows only simple bolt-on engine modifications.

Now that our 2012 Ford Fiesta is handling properly, thanks to wheel, tire, and suspension upgrades, it is time to up the little four-cylinder’s power output. This quest for more power took us to one of our favorite hangouts—Superchips in Sanford, Florida.

B-Spec allows only simple bolt-on engine modifications, so for our testing, we brought along a K&N drop-in filter, a Steeda cold air intake, and a Ford Racing cat-back exhaust system. The end result: an increase of seven horsepower and six lb.-ft. of torque.
