If something absolutely must be cut in half, a waterjet is one of the best ways to accomplish that. But what if you have a turbocharger you want to quickly spool up? Can a waterjet effectively eliminate turbo lag?

FYI, this is a good way to trash turbo bearings. We specifically tell people not to play the WHEEE! game with an air hose even though it is fun because it often leads to failed bearings. They're designed to run with oil pressure.
In other words, kids, don't do this at home. Seriously, it's an expensive game.

This video quality is terrible.. but I've been in the burst test lab in huddersfield.. Don't mess with something that might blow up a chinese made turbo.... They're not made to contain the wheel.
