God those things are pretty. I really need to finish the datsun so I can get rid of the donor and have space for another car....
Man I want that. I wonder how much a complete parts car would cost... But Detroit is a long way away, unfortunately?!?
Son of a... I wonder if there's any way to get this to pa...

It varies. I bought my crusty '73 ES for $800, but I've been told I paid about 50% of it's true value in parts alone. Running cars similar to mine seem to sell on ebay for $1500 to $2000, but once in awhile a deal will come along.
I just sent an email to a friend in the Detroit area in hopes he can look into this car for me. I still have no idea how I'd get it back to my house in PA, but if the car looks half as good as it does in the pics the price is simply too good for me not to look into getting it since I have basically all of the parts needed to reassemble it plus the experience in working on them.

Yea, That would probably be a mistake to not buy this. It looks like it is in great shape. If it were a coupe I would be on my way right now.

Some drivetrain and brake bits, but not much else. Fortunately for me I have a complete ES that I could swap parts from. I even have a second set of doors and the rare hatch and side window glass. I'd put it together as a real budget-build, but in theory I could probably get it running again for a couple of grand in parts. The expensive part would be the interior, although I could probably make the required pieces using my car's old parts as patterns. Refurbished seats for these cars can be pricey, but I have a set of E30 sport seats.
My biggest issue is a lack of time, but we'll see.
